The Best of Brooklyn Thrifting

Updated: Feb 21

It’s hard to find “real” thrift stores in New York City. BUT the vibrant Brooklyn thrifting scene makes up for it. Get ready for an EPIC (sustainable) shopping spree! Check out Brooklyn's best below:

1. L Train Vintage

Perhaps the largest thrift store in Brooklyn - L Train Vintage has perhaps the most extensive selection of any NY thrift store. My personal favorites were the leather jackets and fur coats - which are perfect for the mob wife aesthetic. The prices are unbeatable by New York standards.

2. Urban Jungle

Make your way over to Urban Jungle next door for a slightly more curated vibe. Here you can find unique retro and vintage sweaters alongside well-known brand names.

3. Beacon's Closet

Beacon's Closet is perfect for any designer enthusiast. Enter the store for a curated selection with reasonable prices. Score designer pieces from iconic brands like Marc Jacobs and timeless vintage items from Dior and Burberry, all without breaking the bank.

4. Mother of Junk

Another man's junk is another man's treasure. Head over to Mother of Junk to find a quirky mix of knick-knacks, furniture, rugs, jewelry, china, and art. You'll find tchotchkes to give your home a lived-in, personalized touch.
